David Schultz is one of our favorite photographers to work with. Watching him work, I always wondered how he got everybody relaxed and having fun while he was taking their wedding photos. I asked him to write an article I could feature here on our website to better serve you our potential clients.
Even though you may already have a DJ, you may not have your photographer yet so this may help you in fulfilling this need for your special day. I'm sure as you read David's article, you'll see why he makes everybody relaxed and have fun while he is taking his photos. And now, David Schultz of Vivid Memories...

Choosing Your Wedding Photographer using the Four Ps.
Selecting the right person as your wedding photographer will make the expense of wedding photography worthwhile, and preserve the magic and excitement of your special day, long after the work of all other vendors is forgotten.
But how to choose? To simplify the process, look at the Four Ps:
Portfolio, Products, Personality, and Price.
PORTFOLIO: Study the photographer's website to get a sense of their style.
Does it match with yours? Does the work appear to be of professional quality? Are the images solid and timeless, not contrived or gimicky?
PRODUCTS: What do you end up with after all the work is completed? Do you want a disc of images? An album? Prints? What kind of online presentations are offered? Is the work offered a la carte, or must you buy a set package?
Even a photographer with set packages will usually do some horse-trading to get you the items you're looking for. Find out what specials and incentives are offered.
PERSONALITY: You will spend more time with your photographer than any other vendor. Remember your wedding photography is designed to please you, not satisfy your photographer's ego. He or she must be a people person, and equal parts diplomat, optimist, meteorolgist, artist, organizer, clockwatcher, marathoner, and expert photographer. All else being equal, the personality of the photographer will determine if the photography is exciting and fun or just a chore. Weddings can be hectic, but the right photographer can help make your wedding day smooth sailing.
PRICE: The cost of wedding photography varies greatly. Beware of a price that seems too high or too low. A bargain can become a big bag of trouble, while paying too much is simply a waste of money -- spending twice as much as you need to won't get you photos that are twice as good. Interview three photographers within your price range and you will likely find a good fit.

Sea World Adventure Park San Diego named 2007 Vendor of the Year.
San Diego, CA. – For the fifth year in a row, InSane Diego Productions, Inc. has recognized those vendors who have stood out among the rest during its annual Vendor Appreciation announcement. The announcement is made each January to recognize the outstanding vendors from the previous year in 3 different categories: Vendor of the Year, Corporate Vendor of the Year, and Entertainment Partner of the Year. Each winner is determined and scored by several factors such as: the number of event referrals, actual events performed, price totals of each event, and input from each of the DJ’s at InSane Diego Productions, Inc. Sea World Adventure Park San Diego has won the award several times in past years as Vendor of the Year and Corporate Vendor of the Year.
“We are very proud to be associated with Sea World and the work that they do. The Special Events Team at Sea World is a group of fun and talented professionals, and we look forward to many more years of success with them” stated owner Manny Otero. “It’s always a pleasure when the phone rings and we know it is someone from the Special Events team at Sea World calling.” Owner Manny Otero presented the award to the entire team at the Sea World Special Events office at the Sea World Park which included some special gifts for members of the team and other surprises.

Manny Otero presents “Take Something Old and Make It New Again!”

Las Vegas, NV - Manny Otero (owner of InSane Diego Productions, Inc.) was proud to present his program “Take Something Old and Make It New Again!” during the Mobile Beat DJ Show and Convention in February at the Riviera Hotel and Casino. Taking the knowledge and skills he has learned over the last 5 years building InSane Diego Productions, Inc. into a well respected multi-operational mobile DJ company, his one hour presentation covered how to make a connection with your client’s guests and create unique elements that fit your style and vision.
“I was really excited to share my formula for creating unique elements to others in our industry, in the hope that other mobile DJ’s could take what I have learned and create success for themselves.” The one hour presentation covered how to create your own vision for your own success, steps to take in determining the difference between being an “imitator” or a “creator,” and the “Take Something Old and Make It New Again!” formula (4C + SO = SND).
“The best thing about this formula is that you place the variables into the formula which are determined by your own skill sets and vision. The success you create using this formula will in turn bring you closer with your clients before, during, and years after their event is over. It will help you create lasting memories for not only your wedding couples, but those businesses looking for fun ways to reward their employees for their hard work during company events.”
A training DVD and workshops are being developed for a summer 2008 release to share the knowledge and skills with the Mobile DJ industry around the country.

InSane Diego Productions announces two new DJ Companies to provide better service for its customers.
San Diego, CA. – To better identify itself with its wedding customers and corporate clients and vendors, InSane Diego Productions announces the creation of two new companies: Memories and Music Entertainment and San Diego Creative Entertainment.
“My vision has always been to focus only on weddings and corporate events using a formula I created that brought us success in each of these areas. With that in mind, I wanted the name to match the vision I had for both of these avenues of entertainment for our customers” says Manny Otero, owner. “With weddings, our goal was to create lasting memories for our couples who are having that once in a lifetime experience. With that in mind I thought about what we created for them and that was Memories and Music. With our corporate entertainment, the formula allows us to create Creative Entertainment for those companies seeking unique, fun, and fresh entertainment for their employees.” Continuing Manny states that “naming the companies to identify what we do for them will allow potential wedding couples and companies a better idea of what we do for them.”
To facilitate this InSane Diego Productions will become InSane Diego Productions, Inc. with Memories and Music Entertainment and San Diego Creative Entertainment under its umbrella. “InSane Diego Productions was a name that fit with our original tag line of “Quality Mobile Entertainment from America’s Finest City.” Now with Memories and Music and San Diego Creative Entertainment we tell our customers exactly what our focus is which will better serve their needs. Our philosophy will remain the same…create lasting memories that are unique and personalized for each individual client, except now we can be more easily recognizable for those particular areas of mobile DJ entertainment.”
